Since our lives are extremely busy, and yet extremely boring to write about (and read, no doubt), I thought I'd give some highlights of things lately...
-Darby's glasses are ready for pick up today. CAN'T wait to take a picture and show you all.
-Darby's friend at therapy, Desi (short for Desmond), LOVES to play with Darby. His mom told me that when they drive up and she asks if Desi wants to go play, he says "Darby! Darby! Darby!" We saw them all in the waiting room as we were leaving today and Desi got SO excited. It was so sweet when we said bye... "Bye-Bye Darby" melt my heart.
-I need to figure out how to pay the government. I owe them the sales tax for last year. I have it. But I dont know how to get it to them.
-Jason's employer is pretty much amazing. They are working super hard to fight to get darby's therapies funded by their insurance plan. What HR department does that? Truly a blessing.
-I get a date night with jason :o) which goes on to say...
-We can finally use babysitters! It only took 2.5 years, but we now are able to leave Darby with a babysitter and run out the door smiling :0) We were always able to let him stay with a grandma, because they knew him well enough, but it was difficult to find a babysitter that wasn't a grandma. Since darby does have special needs, i think baby sitters were more scared of breaking him, or having him have some seizure or something while watching him. OR the biggest problem was that all my potential babysitters were all mom's that already had 2 kids. Who wants to ask a super busy mom to do more work for them? Not me. So we now have Karl (jason's best friend) and Courtney, our sweet friend from the college.
-Between swagbucks and some survey taking, I have $20 in amazon cash that I'm saving up for a new purse :0)
-I pushed a car for the first time. It was terrifying and yet exciting. The Lord provided funds and we're finally getting jason's car fixed, but first we had to get his car to the repair shop. The battery was dead and it apparently can't switch gears.... I dont know about any of that stuff... but the point is that we had to push his car back uphill in our carport, into its parking spot. Jason needed my help, as he wasnt able to do it alone. It was so much fun! I was just sure it was going to roll back and run one of us over, so when it didn't... it was exhilarating!
-We just had family in town and had a blast! It was great showing Jason's Mom, Pam, around the therapy center and she was able to see Darby do some sessions. We also got to hang out in her amazing hotel room in san diego. It was the most amazing room i've seen in my town to date!
That's all for now!
