Giveaways!

One of those wonderful things about being a SAHM is the high level of distractions all around you :oP
Today I gave in, and got lost in the blogsphere.

However, the fruits of my labor might pay off! After going through many blogs, I found this blog site Thrifty and Chic Mom. It is absolutely full of awesome giveaways! I absolutely love the products that this site is showing off! Today I entered to win a teething necklace, its so cute! It has a link to a website called Smart Mom Jewelry. Its pretty jewelry that moms can wear and babies can chew! Love it. Its also completely safe for the baby. This is the one I'm hoping to win the most! If i don't win... well, its my birthday in a week... ;o)

So go check it out!

Things we Love

The Grocery Game - Love it. I tried to do coupon mom, but found myself incredibility confused and stressing. I went back to my first love, grocery game. I still use coupon mom for, well, coupons, and for target specials. Want to know why i love it so much? Jason and I went shopping last Sunday, had a cart FULL of food, piling over and even under.... it was going to cost $250. EXCEPT, that we had coupons and a club card, and it ended up costing $100 instead. WOOT.

Dave Ramsey- Love this guy. Who would have thought that I would get a thrill from watching a financial guy on Fox News??? But he brings a biblical perspective to dealing with monday, and just a fabulous perspective! He's hard core and so encouraging. He's "better than he deserves" and what a great reminder that we deserve so much worse.

Chocolate Banana Vivanno- Oh man. I had forgotten about this drink... then the coupons came in the mail. One free coupon, and 2 half off coupons. I've already used all three. LOVE this yummy drink. Its under 300 calories, and has 5 grams of fiber. I order it with 1 extra pump of chocolate, because why not? Makes a good breakfast on the go.

Santa Clarita Baptist Church- Yes. I love my church. Why? Because its an imperfect place full of imperfect people, and yet I look forward to every sunday! I'm going to be working in the Nursery and am SO excited to be a big part of that ministry. I am so honored that I'd be placed there with other women who are just plain amazing and how our friendships will grow! I'm so excited to be getting 'plugged in'.

Oak Manor- Yes. I even love Oak Manor.

Caffeine- I have a 10 month old. Enough said.

Sewing - I've rediscovered the sewing machine. Its way fun.

Yo Gabba Gabba- I have no idea why this show is so amazing, but it is. Darby LOVES it. If he is ever cranky or restless and I can't figure out what to do... turn on Yo Gabba Gabba. The smile is instantaneous as he sees DJ Lance appear on the screen. I know there are some moms that hate this show... primarily because it freaks them out. I, personally, am almost in love with this quirky show as much as Darb is. The best part is probably the end, with its techno remix of the day's show. Hilarious :O)

Progressive Steps- Our physical therapy place. These people are just awesome. Darby has been so blessed with the selection of therapists that he has received. They are always looking out for his best interests and I can honestly say that they really care for him. There were concerns that he might be losing some of his funding, and when the center found out, they ran to the phone and made sure he kept his... i didn't have to do a thing. LOVE that :o)

Those are just a few of our favorite things :o)

Tuesdays with Keara

I have numerous appointments during the week that I have to prepare for and attend. Most of them are not super exciting. I actually really look forward to darby's therapy with CDS "Child Development Services", because his awesome therapist kicks me out of the room and tells me to go take a break! Thats always fabulous, and I usually end up doing dishes ( I swear, those are never gone). Yet, I do have a recent addition to my weekly schedule that brings me SO much joy. Its Tuesdays with Keara.

Keara, being the genius that she is, decided we should have a date day. One day during the week, we'd get together, her house or mine, and just hang out... letting our infants gurgle to each other. I loved this idea and now I love Tuesdays. We meet at about 1pm and then before we blink, its 4:30pm and we wonder how that happened!

Keara's friendship has meant more to me than she knows! She is one of the most amazing people that I know, and I'm truly blessed that she'd consider me a friend!

So go ahead and come, dishes, vacuuming, physical therapy, Tuesday chores... because when you're done, I get to see Keara :o)
